The Power of Pause

by Kristi Kuttner December 18, 2016

Hi Love,

Very often people tell me they don’t have time to pause, meditate and can’t sit still.

Especially this time of year it is easy to get caught up in the many festivities. Let’s be real, partying is entertaining but can be draining on your nervous system.

Our bodies weren’t meant to be on overdrive and can often give us a signal that it’s time to pause and slow the hell down!

Common signals that you’ve overdone it with the socializing can be hormonal imbalance, changes in blood sugar, anxiety, stress, insomnia, and a case of bitchiness. :)

So… here are some easy, quick tips that you can use in replace of traditional meditation.

Shortcuts to pause:

  • Drink a big glass of water. For bonus points, add lemon and sea salt
  • Lay down and elevate your feet above your heart. Legs up the wall pose is amazing.
  • Close your eyes, place one hand on your belly and the other on your heart and begin to breathe deeply.
  • Take a break from your task and stand up and stretch.
  • Go outside for a walk and get some fresh air. Yep your mom was right!
  • If you can’t get outside with natural sunlight, then gaze out the window and take in the environment.
  • Slowly eat a healthy snack. Our favorites are apples, peanut butter, kale chips and a smoothie.

One thing I can guarantee is you’ll get more done when you listen to your body and pause!

Scheduled down time is vital to be a top entrepreneur and cultivate a happy, healthy company and life. We’re going to practice what we preach, so this is the last email you’ll get from us in 2016. In the meantime check out our relaxation bundles, deals, and products for the Holidays. Deals end December 31st.

Happy New Year and see you in 2017 and don’t forget to make stillness a priority.

Much Love,

Kristi & Steph
